Commerce Secretary Announces 2024 Events for Exporters

The Commerce Department plans trade missions and national summits.

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the 2024 calendar for exporter events, opening trade missions and small business summits to companies seeking to export internationally from the United States. According to the Department of Commerce, nearly 272,000 small and medium-sized businesses contribute to American exports annually.

The department expects that these upcoming events will increase the diversity within U.S. exporters. Officials project that local economies will be further stabilized by expanded sources of revenue.

“Companies that export earn on average higher revenues, create more jobs, and pay better wages,” said Secretary Raimondo. “By improving access to export education and resources for U.S. businesses in underserved communities, we can boost the knowledge base and pool of exporters, helping to ensure equitable economic growth for American workers and families.”
